Badam Halwa Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 cup blanched almonds
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon saffron threads, soaked in 1 tablespoon hot water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon ghee or unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon rose water (optional)
- Chopped pistachios or almonds for garnish
Instructions:
Step 1: Grind the Almonds
- Soak the almonds in hot water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Drain and grind the almonds in a blender or food processor until smooth.
Step 2: Cook the Halwa
- In a large saucepan, combine the ground almonds, milk, sugar, saffron-infused water, cardamom, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.

Step 3: Add Ghee and Rose Water

- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow it to set.
